View profile →How do I help teachers get better at teaching without telling everyone to teach in exactly the same way?
Examine concrete classroom practices and use modelling, rehearsal and feedback to plan how colleagues can develop teaching together.

Leaders want teaching to improve, but teachers also need professional judgement and room to respond to the learners in front of them. Broad expectations rarely show colleagues what a useful teaching practice looks like, how to rehearse it or how to adapt it well.
This course gives teams a more precise way to examine teaching together, using concrete examples, modelling, rehearsal and feedback.
Give colleagues a shared, precise way to improve teaching while keeping professional judgement in view.

Modelling, rehearsal, observation, feedback and collaborative teacher learning.
Day 3
Rehearsal, peer observation and feedback on a chosen classroom technique.
Day 4
Where shared practice helps and where professional judgement matters.
Every course we run is built on what research says makes professional learning change practice. Here is what that looks like in this one.
Practices modelled and made visible, with classroom examples and scenarios.
We keep asking what each practice would mean in your context.
You try techniques, examine student responses and compare interpretations.
An optional online follow-up lets you report back on what you tried with colleagues and refine your next step.
EUR 420 per participant, incl. VAT
Facilitation, the Effective Teaching Toolkit and all course materials, a certificate of attendance, a selection of cultural activities in Stockholm, and fika every day: tea, coffee, something baked and something healthy.
Meals, travel and accommodation.
Most courses run at our base in Vasastan, a few minutes' walk from Odenplan, with cafés and a park close by. We confirm the venue with each group before the course. Arlanda is about 40 minutes away by commuter train or airport coach, with no change needed. Between sessions there is time to walk by the water and reflect. We find people learn better that way.

A Danish-led review of nine international studies finds that play in secondary maths and language classrooms is talked about with real confidence and studied with almost none. For anyone being pitched playful pedagogy as an evidence-based fix for disengaged teenagers, that gap is worth knowing about.

Innovation in schools is often associated with new technology, new programmes or dramatic change. This Norwegian curriculum analysis suggests a gentler possibility: many of the ingredients are already present in everyday learning... if schools know what to look for.
