Accessibility.

We want everyone to be able to use this site and join our courses. Here is where we stand.

Our standard

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA, the standard behind the European accessibility requirements in EN 301 549. We check new pages against that standard as we build them, and we review the whole site at least once a year.

This statement was last reviewed in 2026. It is based on our own testing with a keyboard, a screen reader and automated checks.

What we have done

  • Every page has a skip link and a single main landmark, so keyboard and screen reader users can jump straight to the content.
  • Text and interface colours meet a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against their background.
  • All controls can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, and the focus outline is always visible.
  • Images that carry meaning have descriptive alt text. Decorative shapes are hidden from screen readers.
  • Headings follow a logical order and pages use real landmarks, lists and buttons rather than styled div elements.
  • The site works at 200 percent zoom and reflows on small screens without horizontal scrolling.
  • Animation is reduced automatically when your device asks for less motion.
  • Forms have visible labels, clear error messages and helpful descriptions at each step.

Known limits

  • Some PDF course documents we link to were produced by partners and may not be fully tagged. Ask us and we will send the content in an accessible format.
  • A small number of photographs carry text inside the image. We are replacing these as we refresh the photography.

Tell us about a barrier

If something on this site is hard to use, or you need information in another format such as large print or plain text, email us and we will fix it or send the content another way. We reply within five working days.
