Professional learning in Stockholm

The Nordic Learning Company is based in Stockholm, and most of our in-person courses take place here. Groups are small, days are planned with time to think as well as to work, and every course can be delivered in English or Swedish.

Why Stockholm

Stockholm is built on fourteen islands, where the city meets the Baltic Sea. Forest and open water are never far away, and spending time outdoors is part of ordinary life here, whatever the weather.

Coming here also means seeing Nordic ways of working first-hand. Flat hierarchies, trust in professionals, open access to nature and a steady balance between work and the rest of life are everyday habits here. Teachers and leaders who visit often say this is what stays with them.

Between sessions there's time to walk by the water, explore and reflect. We find people learn better that way.

Where we work

Our main base is Good Advice at Odengatan 80 in Vasastan, a residential part of the inner city a few minutes' walk from Odenplan.

Good Advice has rooms for discussion and space to move between activities, with cafés, shops and Vasaparken close by.

Larger groups use other venues around Stockholm, chosen to suit the size of the cohort. We confirm the venue with each group before the course.

Getting here

Stockholm Arlanda Airport is about 40 kilometres north of the city. Odenplan sits on the commuter train line from the airport, so most people reach our base without changing.

A working day in the city

Courses run during the working day. Between sessions you are in the middle of everyday Stockholm life, and the city is easy to get around on foot, by bike or by metro. After the course day, your time is your own to explore.

Through the year

Stockholm changes a great deal between seasons, and it is worth knowing what to expect.
