These terms are prepared for company and legal review before publication.
Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by The Nordic Learning Company AB, including corporate and school workshops, training and courses, live online training, facilitation, Educational Consulting and Fractional L&D Partner services.
A proposal, booking confirmation or other written agreement may contain additional terms. If a specific written agreement conflicts with these general terms, the specific written agreement takes priority.
Customers
Business customers
Companies, schools, organisations and other professional clients buying services for their business or professional activities.
Consumers
Private individuals buying services mainly outside their business or profession. Mandatory consumer protection law applies and takes priority over these terms where required.
Booking and contract formation
A booking becomes binding when both parties accept the relevant proposal, booking confirmation or other written agreement, unless that document says otherwise.
If online purchases are introduced, the terms and required information will be shown before purchase. A third-party booking or payment service may have its own terms, but these will not replace our terms.
Courses and course transfers
- You may transfer your booking to another available course date free of charge up to 14 days before the scheduled course date.
- Within 14 days, you may transfer your place to a colleague if the course is suitable for them and reasonable administration requirements are met.
- All course transfers depend on availability.
- Missed live online sessions are not recorded or made available later.
Consumer law
Consumers who book remotely may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under Swedish and EU law. This legal right takes priority over our transfer policy. If a service starts during the withdrawal period, rules about express consent, payment for work already completed and when the withdrawal right ends may apply.
Live online training
Our online training is live and takes place at a scheduled date and time. Unless we clearly agree otherwise:
- sessions are not recorded;
- recordings are not provided afterwards;
- participants are responsible for attending at the scheduled time; and
- technical requirements and access details are shared before the session.
Workshops, facilitation and Educational Consulting
The scope, dates, fees, deliverables and other commercial conditions for corporate workshops, school workshops, facilitation, Educational Consulting and Fractional L&D Partner services may be set out in a proposal, booking confirmation or separate contract.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, invoices are payable within 30 days.
Business cancellation terms
Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, these terms apply to business and organisational clients:
- More than 30 days before the service: cancellation is free of charge.
- 14 to 30 days before the service: 50% of the agreed fee is payable.
- Less than 14 days before the service: 100% of the agreed fee is payable.
We may agree to reschedule where appropriate.
Travel and accommodation
Travel, accommodation and related expenses are not included unless agreed in writing. When they are needed, the agreement will state whether the client arranges them or The Nordic Learning Company arranges or is reimbursed for them.
No guarantee of outcomes
Our courses, workshops, facilitation, Educational Consulting and Fractional L&D Partner services provide knowledge, perspectives, frameworks and practical tools. We do not guarantee a particular professional, organisational, behavioural, financial or other result.
Results depend on the participant, the client organisation and its context. Participants and clients remain responsible for decisions, actions and implementation, and should adapt recommendations and frameworks to their circumstances.
Intellectual property and copyright
Unless agreed otherwise, our original website text, frameworks, models, course structures, workshop designs, exercises, presentations, documents and other materials remain our intellectual property or are used under licence. Taking part does not transfer ownership.
Materials may be used for personal or internal organisational learning where appropriate. They may not be reproduced, resold, republished, distributed externally, commercially exploited or presented as someone else's work without prior written permission. We do not claim ownership of third-party materials or frameworks.
Website information
We aim to keep this website accurate and current, but cannot guarantee that every part is complete, current, accurate or free from errors. Content may change without notice and does not guarantee a particular outcome.
External links and third-party services
The website may link to third-party websites, booking systems, payment providers or other services. We are not responsible for their content, availability, security or terms. Please review their terms and privacy information when using them.
Limitation of liability
Subject to mandatory law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business opportunity, or loss arising from decisions or implementation based on our content.
For business customers, our liability may be limited to the amount paid or payable for the specific service that gave rise to the claim, subject to applicable law and any specific written agreement. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes to services
We may make reasonable changes to course content, facilitators, schedules, delivery methods, venues or practical arrangements when necessary. We will give appropriate notice of material changes and communicate reasonable options to affected customers. Mandatory consumer rights remain unchanged.
Cancellation or changes by us
We may need to cancel or reschedule because of illness, insufficient participation, technical or venue problems, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. If we cancel a paid course, we will offer an appropriate solution under the applicable agreement and mandatory law.
Force majeure
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control. These may include natural disasters, serious infrastructure failure, war or civil unrest, government restrictions, major transport disruption, widespread technical failure or serious illness. Mandatory consumer rights remain unchanged.
Privacy
Our privacy notice explains how we collect, use and protect personal data.
Consumer withdrawal rights
Consumers entering an eligible agreement remotely generally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under Swedish consumer law. The period generally starts the day after the service contract is made, and the consumer does not normally need to give a reason. Exceptions may apply.
If a consumer expressly asks for a service to begin during this period, they may need to pay for the part already provided. Mandatory statutory rights always take priority over these terms.
Complaints and contact
For complaints, booking questions, cancellation, withdrawal or contractual questions, email hej@nordiclearning.se. Consumers do not have to use a specific form to exercise a statutory right of withdrawal.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law. For consumers, this does not limit mandatory rights or protections that cannot be excluded by agreement. Business disputes should first be handled through discussion and, if needed, by the competent Swedish courts unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Consumers keep any statutory dispute-resolution rights. These terms do not require consumer arbitration.
Updates to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will appear here with a new last-updated date. Changes will not remove rights that have already arisen under an existing agreement.
